LIFE SURFING is a demonstrative project financed by the European Union in the framework of the LIFE Programme, subprogram of Environment. The project aims to demonstrate the field feasibility of a soil remediation technique for soils containing Dense Non-aqueous Phase Liquids (DNAPL) composed by a multicomponent mixture of organic contaminants and Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs). To achieve that, well known oxidation techniques will be combined with the action of surfactants.
